Hi. How do I join TCA? also 21minus next year? from Anonymous

Here’s the application.

We’d love to make 21 MINUS an annual event! Judging by how well this year went, I can totally see us doing this again.

On Saturday the TCA split up to cover twice the ground in preparation for 21 MINUS. More than half of us got the privilege of visiting/working in the MCA’s warehouse. On Saturday the TCA split up to cover twice the ground in preparation for 21 MINUS. Still not convinced you should come see 21 MINUS?

Here’s what the TCA have set up for May 18:

  • An angelic choir performing songs downstairs in the Kanter Meeting Center, which will be decorated with blankets, pillows and lamps
  • Free tea served hot downstairs too, choose one of the many original blends to match your mood, find a spot and relax while the choir performs
  • Improv comedy museum tours happening every hour, hosted by the Cary Grove High School Comedy Club
  • Brittani Worley modeling her dress made strictly from recycled materials
  • “Mini-concert” outside featuring English covers of Korean songs
  • The Lincoln Park High School Glee Club performing a capella versions of songs like “Hallelujah” and “One More Night” (they’ll also kick off the day with a secret surprise!)
  • “Pruce and Looloo’s Karaoke Fun Time” with costumes!
  • TCA member Mattew Moen will be DJing in the sculpture garden outside
  • The sculpture garden will be transformed with comfy tents and free food! Claim a tent and enjoy the music!
  • Léa Kichler’s “Minuteportrait” film series will be going on. The Minuteportrait involves leaving a person alone in front of a camera to talk about themselves for about ten minutes. Léa then condenses it into a compilation of short clips, which she’ll screen at the end of the day
  • A pair of young Latin dancers will perform
  • TCA will be hosting “The Living Room,” where we’ve built a giant conversation web for people to contribute to
  • Dance company “UDE YAH” will be performing and hosting dance-offs! Bring your dance crew or challenge them yourself!

Anyone who comes to the MCA for 21 MINUS gets in for free! This Saturday from noon to 5pm! Don’t miss out!
